NIV 1984 vs NIV 2011

To get a quick glance at some of the changes, I went through the verses cited in the LCMS Commission on Worship's "Comparative Study of Bible Translations." The chart below will be most helpful when used to complement that study, but the table may show useful patterns on its own merit. "Gender inclusive" changes have been highlighted in magenta, while all other changes are highlighted in yellow.

Do it while you are still with him on the way, or he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift. Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court.
